I'm sending out 400 e-mails with a mail merged document
attached. The recipients will then complete the missing
fields and e-mail it back.
The problem is some people are getting errors when they
try to open the word doc. They get a screen error message
saying:
_____ is a mail merge main document. Word cannot open its
data source, __________.txt.
Click for: Find Data Source or Options.
If they choose Find Data Source, nothing happens. If they
click Options, they get a screen message that says:
If the mail merge source, ________, no longer exists,
Choose Remove Data/Header Source or choose Remove All
Merge Info.
Then there are those two boxes to select. Either option
gets the document to load.
We are using Word 97. The recipients are using any number
of versions of Word. Any suggestions?
Thanks!
