Mail merge deletes Toolbar and DOCVARIABLE.

Hello

I have some templates that I want to use for mailmerges. The templates
contains custom toolbars and a DOCVARIABLE field. After the mail merge
both the toolbar and the variable no longer exists in the new
document.

Does anyone know of a fix or a workaround?
