Mail Merge doc omits duplicated words

I have a mail merge Word document that will not pull all
the information from fields in either an Excel
spreadsheet or an Access database.

It will not select and merge duplicate words from the
same merge field. Example: alfalfa sprouts-next row-
alfalfa, sun cured--it will only merge the
first "alfalfa" and omit all others.

I have tried virtually everything to make this work. I
have asked everyone about this (many gifted software guru
types), but none can figure it out. I need an actual
Access programer I think.

Which version of Word/Access/Excel?

Which connection method are you using to get data from the data source? DDE?
ODBC? OLEDB? Converter?

I can't replicate this here using any of the methods available with Word
2000 using Excel as a data source.

When you say...
It will not select and merge duplicate words from the
same merge field. Example: alfalfa sprouts-next row-
alfalfa, sun cured--it will only merge the
first "alfalfa" and omit all others.

....do you mean that the word "alfalfa" appears multiple times in the same
field in the same record in the data source, or that it is at the beginning
of the same field, but in several successive records in the data source?

If you want, zip up the Excel sheet and merge document and e-mail them to me
(you have to despam my address).
