"mail merge" duplicated in drop-down

In my drop-down "Tools" window (MS Word 2000 SR) "Mail
Merge" is repeated many times and I have to scroll down a
long way to get to things like "Envelopes and Labels." I
have tried removing and reloading the program several
times, to no avail. Does anyone know what to do about
this?
