Mail Merge Field Formats

Alan

I'm trying to mail merge in Word 2000 using an Excel
spreadsheet as a datasource. In my merged document some
(not all) of my fields appear in bold font for no apparent
reason - ie there is no bold formating of the field name
in either in the word doc or the excel datasource. Any
ideas

Hi Alan,

This sometimes happens... often, the default Word font has
the "odd" formatting applied.

The only way around it is to add the \* CharFormat switch to
the merge fields. You'll find more information on my website,
or by searching older messages for this group over Google.com
