Mail Merge Field

stefan

I'm having trouble correctly merging one of my fields in
a mail merge letter. I've set up my merge field to pull
a payment from a specific cell within my data source,
which should include a comma when the payment is in the
thousands - what I'm ending up with is the four digit
number with no comma separation. ie. 2465 rather than
2,465

Can someone help?

Hi Stefan,

Mentioning the version of Word involved in a problem is
always helpful. And also the type of data source you're
using.

But see the information in the "Formatting" section of my
website. And if you're using Word 2002 you may also want to
read up on that, and how the changed connection method
affects formatting, and what you can do about it.
