Mail Merge filter does not hold parameters - WordXP and 2003

User Viewpoint sent a question to this group on Feb. 1st regarding problems
with filtersettings, but he did not get a reply.

I have experienced same problems. Merging a letter with my Excel
Addresdatabase where i filter Postalcode >=3000 and PostalCode <4000, the
dialog box at first presents me for the correct number of records. But when
actually merging, I get much more records. When returning to the Filter and
Sort dialog box, it will now show Postalcode >=3000 and Postalcode is null
(empty) or PostalCode <4000.

I have experienced this problem both in XP and in Word 2003. I can send you
my database for investigation, if necessary.

Could we please have an answer?
