Mail Merge First Page

S

Shay

I have a template word document that contains 2 parts
General Policy Details - Page 1
Additional Policy Details - One addition page for each
additional detail

The Additional Policy Detail pages are added to the
document from a mail merge on a table stored in a
database.

when the merge occurs I get the Page 1 repeated down
through the document. What I want is page 1 followed
by all the other pages resulting from the merge.

Is this possible?

Sorta. You need to trick Word into it. In the Mail Merge
FAQ on my website you'll find an entry on how to create
introductory text for a Catalog type of merge. You can
apply that basic approach to solve your problem. (Use an IF
field to check whether it's the first record and only
display the intro text - including the Page Break! - for
the first record)
