Mail Merge from Query in Access - does not list all queries

K.S.Andersen

When mail merging I use a query from an Access database. When I ask WORD to
list the queries it only list around half the numbers, but all tables. Is
there any way I can increase the listed number? - I have tried to make a new
query - but it does not show either.
Can anyone help me?

We need to know which VERSION of Word you're using? And was the database
created in this version of Access, or an earlier one?

I am using Office 2003. Word will not list any queries that are parameter
queries. Check and see if the queries you are missing require the user to
enter data before the query is run.

Correct, using the default connection method. It will work using DDE,
though (that's the only way to use them, as it starts up the Access
interface). You'll find information on how to change the connection method
in the Word 2002 section of my website's mail merge FAQ.

Have you seen Tom's response to you? Are these "problem"
queries parameter queries, or just plain select queries?

Go to my website and look in the Word 2002 section of the
mail merge FAQ. You'll find information there about how to
change the way Word links data in for mail merge. Try DDE
or ODBC (instead of OLE DB, which Word 2002 is using by
default).
