Mail merge gives incorrect date

G

George Marshall

Our department uses a pensions application called PS
Pensions - made by Rebus. When we perform a mail merge
into Word, the date appears as eg: 1923 instead of 2023.
As you can imagine, this is very important in a pensions
department, ie: working out retirement dates. We are
running Windows NT4 SP6 and Word 97 SR2.
Any ideas?

How are you connecting to the data source? Do you use an export from PS
Pensions, do you connect directly using ODBC, or otherwise?

Khalid's nearby question has reminded me that you can probably fix this in
Control Panel|Regional Options|Date|Calendar. But since that requires that
you change the date format around to suit different applications, it might
be better to try to get the full 4-digit year from PS Pensions if that is
what is going wrong.
