Mail Merge Hyperlink still Plain Text

B

Brickley

I am trying to "Merge to E-mail" using Word where my
mergefield source is a unique hyperlink. My problem is
the mergefield doesn't maintain its hyperlink when I
Merge to HTML email. How do I accomplish this?

Follow up question: If I can do this, I'd like to be
able to use a second mergefield source for the display
text of the hyperlink.

Any suggestions? (I feel like I've tried everything!)

Thank you kindly in advance!

Since you dont' tell us the version of Word involved, it's
difficult to give you an accurate answer. This definitely
was a problem with some versions, such as the original
release of Word 2002, but was fixed in SP updates which can
be downloaded from the MS website.

No, that's not possible. Best you can do is to get Word to
display the actual URL for the hyperlink.

I'm having the same problem.

I am using Word 2002, SP2 and the data source is from
Excel 2002.

I have checked for more recent updates from Microsoft,
but I already have all of the updates.

Any other suggestions?

TIA
