Mail merge in Word 2002 prints source records list twice

When printing a mail merge document in Word 2002 it
prints the source database records fine the first time.
It then proceeds to print them a second time (after the
first list prints completely, not the same record two
times in a row). This is sent to the printer as a doubled
file not as a single file sent twice. (The source is a MS
Works 2002 database file.)

Hi Daryj,

That maybe something to do with the Works database. From the View menu in
Word, select Toolbars and then the Mail Merge item and that will display a
Mail Merge toolbar. Click on the Mail Merge Recipients button on that
toolbar (3rd from left) and see if there is a duplicate set of records in
the records that appear. If there is, you can deselect the second set to
overcome the problem.

Please post any further questions or followup to the newsgroups for the
benefit of others who may be interested. Unsolicited questions forwarded
directly to me will only be answered on a paid consulting basis.

Hope this helps

.
Doug,
Thank you for your reply. It turns out that I since I
stopped the printer prior to its printing the duplicate
half of the full print job, I never saw that
the 'duplicates' were actually blank pages. After
some "trial and error" searching I found that my printer
driver was preset for duplex printing. One click of the
duplex check box and the problem was solved! :)
