I'm using W2003 and O2003 and asking for help on MailMerge and the
format of emails based on how emails are read.
I did some tests creating emails sending via HTML vs plain text. If I
send an email either plain text or HTML (mail format when sending an
email in Outlook) and send it via HTML when merging in Word, if the
user is configured to read all emails as plain text, extra lines are
added where I have hard returns.
Name
Title
Address
City state Zip
It seems by replacing hard returns with soft returns it solves the
problem of the extra lines in the body of the email.
However, in the person's address either using custom IF statements or
the Insert address book, there is a line between each line of the
address book. There is data for each field (name, title, address,
etc.). It just adds lines after each line in the address,
Any ideas / help would be greatly appreciated.
