mail merge in Word 2007 inserts the wrong font choice

M

Both the merge document and the recipient database are set up in the exact
same font. Once the mail merge is run, the merged fields have been inserted
in another font type.

Anyone know why? Thank!

I merge into a Word doc from data in an Excel doc. To preserve the
formatting I first must save the Excel sheet as "text, tab delimited" and
merge from the text doc, not the Excel doc

What font is applied to the merge fields in the main document. You can
force the font that you want by adding a \* format switch inside the closing
field delimiter } of the merge field and then apply the desire font
formatting to the M of Mergefield. You will need to use Alt+F9 to toggle on
the display of
the actual { MERGEFIELD fieldname } codes.
