I am begging some help in spite my experience in mail merging. Here is the
case.
I have a database on an Excel spreadsheet with names, addresses etc...and
DATES. Some dates are "normal" and other are "calculated"; for example a
calculated date can be =A1+60 were A1 is a date like 2005-03-26
When I merge the database info in a Word document everything is right
excepted for the dates. It seems that I cannot control the format of the
dates in the Word document, whatever the format of the dates in Excel.
For example if a date in excel is July 14, 2004 or 2003-04-18, or 2004,
August 31, the Word document always show the format M-D-Y like 3/5/05.
By right clicking the merge code in the Word document, I can edit/toggle it
but I could not find a way to change the format to get the same as the date
format in Excel.
Also, when there is a "calculated" date in Excel, the merging gives a result
like this: 3/5/05 6:00.00 PM in the Word document.
Any idea?
Thanks in advance.
