Mail Merge Issues

When using mail merge for creating labels, it skips some labels during
preview & printing. We checked to be sure each one was designated to print
and they were. We even created a new address list, but it is still doing the
same thing. I don't know how to fix this problem. I am looking for
suggestions.

If it skips every other record, or every nth record (where n is the number
of labels per sheet), then you have too many «Next Record» fields.

I saw that it said next record, but when I remove it from each label, it then
duplicates some of the labels. Is there a magic number of "next records" to
a mail merge document? Any additional help that you can provide would be
greatly appreciated!

If you used the Propagate Labels button to copy the merge fields from one
label to the rest, Word should have done it correctly. IIRC, you need the
field in all but one of the labels (beginning of first or end of last).

Once I format the first label, I am allowing the computer to copy it into the
remaining labels, but it still prints only some of the labels. It is showing
next record in every label except the first one.

That should be correct. Have you actually completed the merge by merging to
a new document or the printer?

I have not printed our mailing labels, but yes, I completed the merge and
viewed my labels. We are having the same problem that we had with our
newsletter mailing list before creating this new file. I am at a loss of
what to do to correct this problem.

Have you actually clicked the button that says something like "Edit
individual labels"? If not, you haven't completed the merge.
