mail merge list order

I type up all applicant response letters in Microsoft Word
in Mail Merge. Now the Mail Merge no longer puts the
addresses in the order that I typed them in. The addresses
are in no logical order and this forces me to put them in
alphabetical order using the last name then hunt out the
ones Im looking for. Any ideas on how to remedy this
situation? Thanks in advance.

Hi Thomas,

Since you don't give us anywhere near enough information,
there's no way to offer any advice. We'd need
- version of Word
- type of data source
- an example of the order you type the addresses, and the
order in which Word is taking them

Is there a particular reason you want this order? Does it
have any "sorting logic" one could use?
