Mail Merge Macro

B

Bill

Hi Can someone help me with this programming problem or
point me to a resource.

I have an Alphabetic data base by "Year Grad'd" plus
address data.
What I'd like to do is answer the "Year Grad'd" question
and have mail merge create a directory of just the pople
from that year; or answer "All" and create an alphabetic
directory of everyone in the data base.

Look forward to the answer.
Thank you in advance,

Bill

Which version of word are we dealing with?

And is "Alphabetic" the name of the application in which
your data is stored? Or is this Access? Or something else?

Hi Bill,
I'm running Win Xp and Office Xp
The data base is on Excel.

I have an Alphabetic data base by "Year Grad'd" plus
address data.
What I'd like to do is answer the "Year Grad'd" question
and have mail merge create a directory of just the pople
from that year; or answer "All" and create an alphabetic
directory of everyone in the data base.
And the functionality offered in the Recipient's dialog box
is inadequate for selecting these records?

So, if I understand you correctly, you're looking for help
on how to display a prompt for this information, and having
the user input applied to the data? IOW a macro?
