Hi Cindy,
The problem was Service pack3 was not installed for
MSOffice 2000,
I checked my code I am closing the object at the end of
the process.
It very slow when I checked the performance. It takes
around 40 mins to merge 1000 records into a word template
which indeed consist of 5 small logos. The template file
size is 250kb consist of 4 pages.
4 x 1000 => 4000 pages as single abc.doc file (ultimate
result file)
When I went into the task manager to see the performance
it utilize full CPU 100%.
I am not able to work with any application till the mail
merge process is done. If I do so Mail merge process
throws an exception and the exception keep on changing
every time (different exception every time)
I do have a standard hardware configuration. (Intel
Pentium II processor with 128 MB RAM and 10 GB HDD).
Is there any possible way to improve the mail merge
performance?
Thanks
Sumesh
