I am trying to create a mail merge document. I understand that it ha
to be saved as a template. (doc). I am opening a data source in CRM
clicking on the particular data that I need. Somehow however, when
am ready to merge a document, the document specifies that dat
requested is not an available source. All other features of Mail Merg
is working correctly. What am I missing? Or not doing?

Thanks,

What is CRM?

When you say you are opening a data source in CRM, what are you actually
doing - step by step?

Hello Doug,

Thanks for your response. CRM is the Tiger Paw data base that I am
trying to open in mail merge. I follow the mail merge instructions,
but an error message comes up in window once I click on my mail merge
icon with the database. the message tells me that it doesn't recogize
that particular data that it is not included in the actual data source,
when infact it is. This is even a complicated thing to explain. But if
you can help that would be great. Thanks, MMD

I have never heard of a Tiger Paw data base. Can data be exported from it
into some other form, for example to Excel. If so, do that and then use the
Excel file as the data source for the mail merge.

When I Google for Tiger Paw Database, the most relevant article tells me all
about the company and provide the following Excecutive Analysis of the
capability of the software. The blank under the great job section is not
mine; There is no mention of mailmerge, but it apparently does to an
acceptable job of "Third-Party Product Support" whatever that means.

Executive Summary:

The program does a great job with the following:
