Mail Merge to Save a Separate File

O

omsoft

I am creating a large mail merge document from data in Access using VBA.

Now, I need to save it as a separate file for each addressee. I found some
code at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/306348. How do I implement this? I am
not familiar with programming Word. Do I add this code to the original mail
merge template?
And then open the large saved document and process it or is there some other
way of doing it? In Access, I only have one line of code to execute mail
merge.

Any help would be great. Thanks much.

See the “Individual Merge Letters†item on fellow MVP Graham Mayor’s website

If you are using Word XP or later, the “Add-in to Merge Letters to Separate
Files†that I have written and that can be downloaded from that site will
allow you to create each letter as a separate file with a filename taken
from a field in the data source with a minimum of fuss.
