We have a mail merge document that opens in Office 2000 with the mail merge
toolbar available and all buttons are enabled. However, when we upgrade to
Office 2003 and open that same document, the mail merge toolbar comes up but
all the buttons are disabled except for the "Main Document Setup" and "Open
Data Source" buttons. Has anyone seen this before with upgrading to Office
2003? Is mail merge so different between Office versions that 2003 cannot
recognize the document as a mail merge document created in previous versions
of Office? What would we need to do to get the buttons enabled for existing
mail merge documents?
