Mail merge using excel documents

I am trying to do a mail merge to print address labels.
When I choose open data source, excel is not an option.
How can I add this as an option? Thanks! Lori

Did you try selecting Excel from the list of "File types"?

Thanks for your message. I reinstalled word and now
Excel is an option again.
