mail merge with query fields changing

Hello to anybody who can help!! I have set up a mail
merge with the fields being populated from a query in
access 2002. The merge will work fine the first time,
but as soon as I query for a different set of data, with
the exact same fields the mail merge will not bring in
the new query data. For example when I query for the
Smith records versus the Jones records...the mail merge
will work fine for the Smith records, but when I change
the query name field to search for the Smith records and
remerge the mail merge the Smith records will not show
up. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you,

Hi Jennifer,

Sorry, I got a bit confused here - can you step through exactly how you are
creating and modifying the filter? Are you doing all the modifications in
Word, or are you modifying the query directly in Access? And can you confirm
that you are using Word 2002 as well as Access 2002?
