I have a mail merge document with MS Access as the source. The main merge
document is linked to several other word documents and the access source is
linked to another database. these documents work fine. When I open the main
mail merge document access opens along with it and updates.
I copies the word document and the access database to another directly. The
only difference is the access database that the source runs off of is
different. When I open this word document the access database will not open.
the document will merge, but the information in the access database is not
updated. I have to open the access database to get my macro to run and
update the date. I can then close it and merge the document.
I would like this second document to work like the first. any ideas?
