Mail Merge without a database

S

Scott Saunders

Hello,

I hope you can help me please. I would like to take a standard letter in
Word, which has textfields for name, address, etc. but instead of doing a
standard mail merge where contact details are taken from a database or
spreadsheet, I would like to be able to manually enter name, address, etc.
directly into the textfields in the Word document and then move to the next
instance of the letter and enter the details for the next contact. The
reason for this is because I have a user who cannot get their head around
using a database, and they would rather keep the contact details for a batch
of letters actually saved within the document.

There doesn't seem to be any obvious way to do this in Word, and I wondered
if you could explain how to do this if it is possible?

Many thanks,

Scott
