Mail merge

I am attempting to merge an excel document into Word XP
and receive the following error- Word was unable to open
the data source.

The merge has worked fine with other identical excel
spreadsheets and even works fine with other tables within
the same excel doc. Any suggestions?

Hard to say what this might be without more detail... You
might check the column headers (field names) whether there
are any suspicious characters. Mail merge doesn't like most
punctuation, especially not apostrophes or quotes.

You could also try using a different connection method; see
the Word 2002 of my website's MailMerge FAQ for instructions
on how to do that.
