Mail merge

We tried to merge a list of consecutive numbers from
excel to Avery 5160 labels as we did with Word 2000. The
numbers are in the format 03-0000.0. When Word 2002 pulls
them out, they are displayed with 12 places after the
decimal point. We pasted values only and half of each
series of six is ok to one decimal place. Also, the 03-
is dropped. Anyone had this problem? How to fix?

Hi Michael,

You need to either set numerical formatting switches in the
merge fields, or use the old DDE connection method, as Word
2000 did. You'll find more information on this in my
website's Mail Merge FAQ
