Why won't Word 2002 pick up all records in the data source
and merge them into the new document?

I have 247 records in the data file and am printing a
directory.

Merge leaves out half of the names in the data file. I
have no filters or criteria set to exclude or include any
name.

Sounds like you might have a <<Next Record>> field in the main document. It
is not required. and if it is there it will cause every other record to be
skipped resulting in only half the number of records being merged.
