mail merge

I set up a mail merge using Word 2000. Everything worked
fine. I copied the documents to a disc and tried to run
it on Word XP. I discovered that the commands in XP were
strangely different and I was unable to complete the merge
task. Would someone please give me some insight? Thanks.
