Mail Merger Access to Word

My Access date fields are in U.K. format. When I mail merge to word the date fields all appear in American format. Date format in the Word document does not solve the problem. Does anyone have a solution to this please.

As I understand it, if you are using Word 2002, this is down to an error in
the OLEDB driver, and there is a fix for it. Unfortunately, it's one of
those fixes which isn't downloadable from MS's website and you have to
contact Microsoft PSS directly - I'd have a look at their UK web site if
that's where you are located. If you follow that route, I would really
appreciate it if you could let me know how this goes (please despam my reply
address if you e-mail me.)

Also as far as I know, the only workarounds are either to revert to the old
"DDE" method of connecting to Access - in Word 2002, check Word
Tools|Options|General|"Confirm conversions at open" and go through the
connection process again, or to create a query in Access that uses date
format functions to return the exact string you need.
