Mail merging in tables

I want to put a header row in my merge,that is in a table,
that only prints when the merge goes to the next page.

I assume that you are talking about a Catalog or Directory type mailmerge
here and if that is the case, you will have to insert the header row and set
the Heading Rows repeat option after executing the merge.
