Mail notification on toolbar

Even though the 'envelope' box is checked in the Tools menu, I don't get the
envelope notification on my toolbar for new mail.

What gives?

Hard to say without any details. Note that the envelope will only show for
messages that are delivered to you default Inbox.

Thanks - I recently had to rebuild my computer and that's when the settings
got changed. I changed it to "always show" and it worked. Thanks so much!
