Mail sending fails after new external contact is added

Hi,

I am unable to send a mail to external receipients after I
have added them to either my PAB or Contacts folder.

I get a Message undeliverable mail from the Sys Admin. It
says that the message could not be sent because the name
does not exist in contacts.

I can however send the mail by manually typing the full e-
mail address into the To: field. I'm using Outlook 2002
