mail set-up outlook (in the control panel) crashes on install of 2

I am having big problems migrating from Outlook 2003 to Outlook 2007. On
install the program cannot read the mail set-up data from the control panel
application. The Rundll32.exe program crashes.

What do I do?

Have you tried running detect and repair (generally found under the help menu)?
