Mail Sync's with exchange, but calendar items do not

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel Email Client: Exchange I have been successfully using entourage 2008 for several months, but recently discovered that my calendar items are not being retained on the exchange server. Once I accept an incoming calendar item or send a calendar item to others, it is stored on my local computer, but not stored on the exchange server. Thus when others try and schedule meetings with me, it looks as if I am free, however, in many cases I am not. I logged into our company web based exchange view and nothing shows on my calendar, however my e-mail inbox is fine. I read in the forums that if you try and delegate permissions to your calendar that it can change settings to your exchange server, I had done this, however the person can't do anything because they can't see my calendar. In the end, I am not sure how to get this fixed. I am quite sure that it's a problem with my exchange profile, but I need to know what the problem is so I can explain it to our IT department. In addition, I would like to know what happens when the exchange profile gets fixed. If I clear my cache and let the systems re-sync (of course only after the exchange profile is fixed) I fear that everything in my current calendar will be erased. That would be quite a problem.

In the end, I am not sure how to get this fixed. I am quite sure that
it's a problem with my exchange profile, but I need to know what the
problem is so I can explain it to our IT department. In addition, I
would like to know what happens when the exchange profile gets fixed.

You're correct that clearing your Entourage cache will probably fix this
problem and you're correct that doing so will erase any events that have
not been copied to the server.

This is not, however, a problem with your account on the server. Just
Entourage.

You'll need to go into your Calendar and look for the Calendar Views on
the left. You should see one that says something like "All Events".
Click this and you should see your calendar items in list form.

Try to find just the messages that have not synced to your server. They
probably stop at a certain date. Select everything after that date and
drag those appointments to the Calendar "On My Computer". This is your
backup.

Empty your Exchange Calendar cache by right-clicking the Calendar,
selecting Folder Properties and clicking the Empty button. Wait for this
to clear and then allow anything from the server to sync back to Entourage.

Now, go back to the All Events view, select your backup messages and
drag them back to your Exchange Calendar.

Hope this helps!
