mailbox auto reply

James

We want to setup a mailbox to reply to incoming external emails with a
standard greeting, we do not want the greeting to goto internal e-mail or
calendar requests.

We setup a rule to reply to messages except if its an invite or update but
if someone internal sends an e-mail or responds to an invite they get the
greeting.

I have tried to setup some excepts to exclude internal people but outlook
complains I am mixing server and client side rules. Any suggestions?

No, it would not be caused by the HTML message. It should only happen when
you restart outlook if it did not close correctly. See

Apparently so, or my newsgroup database is corrupt.

On to your problem - you are using rules wiz and the action to have the
server reply? What version of Outlook and Exchange?

How does your rule read?
Did you try using a rule to reply if @ is in the sender's address, except if
a meeting request. form?
