Mailbox is full ???

I use outlook for emails. People trying to email me are getting messages
saying that my mailbox is full, and I'm not receiving their emails. This
problem just began yesterday. What gives?

It normally means that the mail box on your ISP's mail server is full.
Perhaps you have set Outlook to keep a copy on the server and haven't
deleted any mails?

Most likely you kept copies of your emails on the server. Delete them and if it is not possible on your end to do this then call your ISP and ask them to purge your email account from all the emails on their server(s)

I use Network Solutions. I have never deleted any emails directly from the
NS site; I only use Outlook to read and delete emails. Should I log into my
acct on NS and go and delete all my emails?

Thanks for your reply. I use Network Solutions and i've never gone directly
to my account with them and deleted any emails. I only use Outlook to read,
send and work with email. Do I need to log in to my NS acct and delete all
my old emails?

Yes. That will do it. You should also set Outlook to delete them, if you use
POP3.

Sorry to continue to bother you . . . but how do you set Outlook to delete
the emails from the mailbox server? I'm pretty sure it uses POP3.

General directions since we don't know the version: Go to tools, accounts -
select the acct from the list and click change, then more settings. It's on
the Advanced tab.

if the acct is IMAP do not ask the isp to delete the mail for you - you'll
lose it all.

Look on the Advanced tab of your server properties dialogue. Is the "Leave
copies of messages on the server" option checked? If so, you can either
uncheck it or you can leave it checked, but enable the options to delete the
items when you empty Deleted Items and delete the items after a specific
number of days. I'd to the former and the log onto the server via web
browser and clean up some of the old messages.
