Hello, I have a csv file and/or an excel file with a list
contact person information. Is there a way to import that
file into word 2000? I would preferr a way to import that
info into a mailing list for labels but I'm not sure how
to approach this. Any ideas will be helpful.

Word will use either the Excel or the CSV file as a data source for a mail
merge to mailing labels. Word 2000's merge wizard is simpler to use than
that of Word 2002/3 so you should have no difficulty following the steps.
You are creating mailing labels as a document type and the data file is your
CSV or Excel file.

Although aimed at Word 2002/3 the following web page should provide a few
pointers http://www.gmayor.com/mail_merge_labels_with_word_xp.htm
