Mailmerge code into footers doesn't work

Miles Lowe

When I connect to Excel and create a mailmerge document and ender a
mailmerge field such as first and las names into the footer and make the
merge document a normal one and print preview I see the field names and no
longer see the merged data names. I found somewhere one time that there is
something you have to do with the code in footers/headers to stop this from
happening (a special way coding mailmerge fields in footer and headers) and
cannot find that code - anyone out there can help with this? You can email
me if you need more information at (e-mail address removed) - thanks

What you are probably talking about is unlinking the fields from the data
source. To do that, select them and use Ctrl+Shift+F9
