mailmerge field moving down a line

Hcoms

Hello,

On a mailmerge document one of the fields is a website address. The
mailmerge fields are in a row on a table. The web address is to long for the
column that it is in , which in itself is not a problem. However as opposed
to wrapping the web address round down to the next line it moves the entire
web address down a line , indents it and then wraps round .
This field is within a paragraph that has an ident of 3cm e.g.
Website: <<website>>

It does this:
Websites:
www.tsetseltnsletnse.setst/setsett
setsetsetsetsett
i want it to do
Website: www.testsetsetsetsetsetsetsetest.co/

Any help will be appreciated!

Hi Hcoms,

A quick test confirms that, if there are no spaces (or other things Word
recognizes as punctuation where a line break is allowed), Word will take the
display of a hyperlink field to the next line. So in that respect, I'm afraid
the only thing you could do would be to make sure these web addresses have
spaces in them...

As to the indent, you might want to check the paragraph formatting that's been
applied to the cell. It sounds to me as if it may be formatted with a "hanging
indent". You should be able to tell by clicking in the text, then looking at
the ruler, or in Format/Paragraph.
