Mailmerge hassles 2000 <> 2002

Howdy,

I recently upgraded from Word 2000 to Word 2002...

In 2000, I had a bunch of mailmerge macros that did various
tasks flawlessly.

Now, they no longer function...

I created the macros by recording, and then tweaking the
code, and so thought that I could just do that again in
2002.

Unfortunately, I am getting nowhere fast:

Prior to the upgrade, I used "header" files, and then
specified the data source.

In the new version, I can't find a way to do that.

Also, if I attempt to use either the mailmerge wizard, or
the mailmerge toolbar to build the document, I have trouble
either way:

I can't enter the fields if I am not linked to the data
source, and if I try to link to the data source I get an
error telling me that my query is empty (probably because I
have no fields entered.)

How can I move forward with this?

Many thanks,

R

I'm no developer (you find these better in the .vba newsgroups), but I
know that lot's has changed in 2002 with MailMerges (both before and
behind the scenes). You might want to check out is Cindy Meister's

Hi Robert,

I thank you for your suggestion...

After having no success tweaking the code I had, I
eventually decided to start from scratch.

It took a bit of time, but all is working well now.

All the best,
