at my wits end with office help

Hi
hoping someone might be able to help me out - I am trying to complete a mail
merge assignment where I am required to make a recipitants list but must file
it as a word document and not a data source file I am hoping someone can tell
me how to go about this as I can do the exercise if I store it with mbd
extension but am having trouble filing it with a doc ext and then being able
to import the information into my mail merge letter. The requirement is to
file the address list as a file with a doc extension.

Use the datasource with a Directory type of mailmerge main document with the
mergefields in the cells of a single row table. After executing the merge,
insert a row at the top of the table and enter the field names into the
cells in that row.
