MailMerge Naming problems

I'm using Word 97 and trying to merge documents from PowerBuilder. Everything
merges fine except Names using "\* caps", for eg. John the III becomes John
The Iii or McDonalds becomes Mcdonalds.
Is there a workaround or fix available for this issue.

Its driving me nuts.. :)
