Mailmerge numbering

How do I set up a mailmerge with Excel 2003 so that my numeric field (which
is set up from 00001-00015) comes into Word without suppressing the leading
zeros? Currently I am using custom formatting to automatically add the
leading zeros. However, when I merge the Excel document the numbers appear in
Word without the leading zeros.

You need a formatting switch specifically \# "00000"
