I have the following problem
I ceated under office 97 all my data in Excel and after the migration
to Windows Xp and Office XP I encounter the following problems:
when the info in Excel gives me 20% it's displayed as 0,2 in my word
document; if I have an amount of 125,25 it's displayed as
125,250000245879666 in word. even trying to change the format from
number to text in Excel doesn't help with the percentage or my
amounts., the amounts I can correct by using the currentie option and
let excel display the "€" (euro symbol) at that point I will get my
amount correctly displayed. but the problem with the percentage still
persists.

can you please help me to solve this problem?
I already read a little bit on this page
http://homepage.swissonline.ch/cindymeister/index.html

but my question here is which connection do I have to use to solve
this problem and is this easy to do since I'm working for a company
where at this point not all computers are migrated to windows XP.
and I might encounter problems like acces rights and so on.

thanks for your coop and feedback

Paul

Hi Paul,

In the mailmerge main document, use Alt+F9 to toggle on the field codes and
before the closing } of the percentage mergefield, add the following numeric
picture switch:

\# "0.0%"

Toggle off the field codes with Alt+F9 again.

You can do a similar thing for the currency:

\# ",?#.00"

Please post any further questions or followup to the newsgroups for the
benefit of others who may be interested. Unsolicited questions forwarded
directly to me will only be answered on a paid consulting basis.

Hope this helps
