Is there any way I can paste the active window in a ppt presentation into
the "body" part of the mailto command hyperlink within the presentation.
i.e. I want to enable the viewer to click on a hyperlink and e-mail the
content of the active window.

Yes and no.

Are your users able to activate VBA within their presentations? (In other
words, will this be used on computers you control or distributed?)

Yes, there will be vba available activated by icons. If you can provide me
with such a vba, I would be grateful.

No, I don't think writing it for you is possible, since my time is a bit
crunched. However, if you want to, it is doable.

The logical steps would be to
Make sure a presentation is open
Collect the data (address, subject, etc.)
Capture the current slide
what format, image or slide?
Keep current resolution of down-grade for faster email traffic
Build the email
Send it

Thanks Bill,

I solved my problem this way. I generate a "draft" e-mail with an open
address, for the user to fill in, but with the page captured in the body of
the email. I then built a hyperlink to the "draft" e-mail. Outlook pops up
and opens the e-mail. The user fills in the address and sends it out. Bingo!
I tried several macros but found that copy and paste do not work when it
comes to pasting a slide into an e-mail. The downside to this approach is
that I need a "draft" e-mail for each slide, but since I already have the
slides it is really not much of a problem. The slides, by the way consist,
of text from a Word document and copying and pasting text from Word into
e-mail is no problem.
