While receiving e-mail, the hydro blinked and momentarily shut down the
computer. It came back without rebooting but Outlook Express would not
connect to the server. Error message:An unknown error has occurred. Account:
'pop.cogeco.ca', Server: 'pop.cogeco.ca', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110,
Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800C013B.
I did all the basics including reinstalling and defragging the drive.
Bottom line:I added an identity and switched from the default "Main
Identity" to the new one. Outlook express retrieved my mail as per usual.
All ports are fine...Main identity does not see the ports but the new one
does, therefore it is not a setup or cable modem or router.
