Hello,
I understand that menubar in Access XP is missing ont a computer. If I'm
off-base, please let me know.
Based on my experience, this issue might be caused by some corrupted
registry key in user profile. If Toolbar is still avaialble, you may try
the following steps to reset it:
1. right click the Tool Bar and select 'Customize'
2. select the Toolbars tab and then click on 'Properties'
3. goto the 'Selected Toolbar' dropdown and look for 'Menu Bar'
4. click 'Restore Defaults
5. Check if the issue still occurs.
If this does not resolve the issue, you may want to log on as a new Windows
user to the computer to see if the issue persists. If it does not occur,
please export the following registy key in regedit:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Access\Settings\CommandBars
After that, you may want to log on as the original user, and double click
the exported REG file to import it to the user.
If you have any update, please feel free to let's know. I look forward to
your reply. Thank you!
Best Regards,
Peter Yang

Note: The MSDN Managed Newsgroup support offering is for non-urgent issues
where an initial response from the community or a Microsoft Support
Engineer within 1 business day is acceptable. Please note that each follow
up response may take approximately 2 business days as the support
professional working with you may need further investigation to reach the
most efficient resolution. The offering is not appropriate for situations
that require urgent, real-time or phone-based interactions or complex
project analysis and dump analysis issues. Issues of this nature are best
handled working with a dedicated Microsoft Support Engineer by contacting
