Main Screen Display Problem with Entourage 2004

I am having a problem with the primary mail window of Entourage 2004 for Mac. Only the top left-hand 1/4 of the screen is showing, though the window seems to "think" all of it is present (the page name in the title bar, "Mail," for example is located about one inch from the window's right-hand side. I >know< I've seen this problem before, but I have no idea when, or how to fix it. The only hint I have for a cause is that I downloaded an update the system indicated I needed, but the difficulty began before I installed it. Any suggestions?
